Sammy’s Hemp Tienda is dedicated to bringing you the highest quality hemp products, educating the public about the wonderful benefits of hemp, and all of the amazing uses for the hemp plant. The idea for this company came about when one of the proprietors began knitting with hemp yarn. Her love for the texture, strength and look of the yarn caused her to start researching the hemp plant. When she discovered all of the uses for the hemp Plant, she knew she had to educate the world about this amazing plant and provide people with a selection of exquisite products.
Sammy is our dog. Our friends rescued him in the middle of MacArthur Blvd, in Oakland. They were driving down the street when they noticed that all of the cars in front of them were swerving. As they got closer, they saw a tiny puppy dragging himself across the street. My friends got out and picked him up. Sammy had a stomach infection, fleas and an ear infection. He weighed about 4 pounds. Below is a picture of what he looked like back then.

When I saw Sammy, I thought he was the cutest little puppy ever. He was so tiny, he fit in the palm of my hand. I knew I had to take him home with me. My friends all lived in apartments and couldn't keep a pet, so they were happy we could provide him with a home. We named the company for him because he's so unique looking that we wanted to put his face on our logo. He's a mutt, but he looks like he's part Australian Shepherd and part Doberman but really, we don't know because he was a rescue. Our other dog is a Pug who looks like a lot of other Pugs (although we do think he's the cutest Pug on Earth) so we didn't use his picture in our logo. Here's what Sammy (and our Pug, Hunter) look like now!  |
